Responsibilities
Manage multiple mechanical and HVAC construction projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
Maintain full responsibility for project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall profitability
Prepare and manage project schedules, change orders, and project cost projections
Coordinate closely with Superintendents to plan manpower needs, subcontractor activities, material procurement, and jobsite logistics
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
Review and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and contracts to ensure scope compliance
Estimate small to medium-sized mechanical projects accurately and efficiently
Identify and resolve project issues through strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Collaborate with office staff to support project documentation, reporting, and internal coordination
Support business development efforts through the ability to sell, manage, and expand project work when opportunities arise
Qualification
Required
Degree (Construction, Engineering, etc..) or relevant experience
5+ years of professional working experience in a mechanical or construction based environment
Needs to have strong background and experience within mechanical systems – Ideally piping/pipefitting such as; heavy mechanical, chill water, high pressure steam, heating/cooling, refrigeration, process piping, infrastructure for mechanical processes, etc..)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, technical drawings, etc
Ability to manage projects from concept through to completion while ensuring deliverables are met and end users are happy
Ability to manage project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall profitability
Ability to prepare and manage project schedules, change orders, and project cost projections
Ability to work cross-functionally with different internal and external personnel on different projects (Superintendent, constructional workers/contractors, subcontractors, etc..)
