Responsibilities
Lead community assessment for new infrastructure sites, identify potential risks, and develop engagement plans to proactively address community concerns while supporting AWS's data center infrastructure
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and local officials, representing AWS Infrastructure in public meetings and forums
Manage community programs, events, and initiatives following global standards while ensuring appropriate localization, including managing sponsorships and evaluating their effectiveness
Utilize multiple communication channels to promote community initiatives both internally and externally, including handling difficult conversations with community members to achieve productive outcomes
Capture and analyze data to demonstrate the quantified and qualified impact of community engagement initiatives, track metrics, and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional or military experience
Preferred
Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
Experience working with multiple groups of stakeholders
Track record of successfully navigating complex cultural and political environments while representing a global organization
