Program Manager Employment & Training - Jobs for Veterans State Grant Program
The State of Maine's Department of Labor is hiring a Program Manager for Employment and Training to oversee the Jobs for Veterans State Grant program. The role involves planning, developing, implementing, and assessing statewide employment and training services for veterans, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and building partnerships with veteran organizations.

Responsibilities
Provide program oversight of the Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG)
Recommend program design, policies and procedures in compliance with laws, regulations and guidance
Negotiate annual performance standards
Monitor quality and outcomes of services
Establish continuous improvement measures
Provide technical assistance on veteran service requirements
Build collaborative relationships with veteran partner organizations and agencies
Qualification
Required
An eight (8) year combination of education and/or experience demonstrating progressively responsible experience in developing and administering employment and training programs
The successful candidate must successfully complete an online-virtual or in-person training through the National Veterans Training Institute in Dallas, Texas within six months of employment
The successful candidate must be a qualified service-connected disabled veteran, a qualified eligible veteran, or other qualified eligible persons as defined by Title 38, USC, Chapter 41 Section 4104.c
