Vice President of Commercial Sales
8Loop Logistics Inc is a minority-owned global logistics company that delivers comprehensive logistics solutions supporting complex U.S. and global supply chains. They are hiring two Vice Presidents of Commercial Sales to drive revenue growth, expand strategic customer relationships, and shape the company’s commercial strategy across domestic and international markets.
Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth across open deck / flatbed, intermodal, asset-based transportation, warehousing, and international logistics
Expand existing customer relationships while developing new strategic accounts
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and integrated logistics solutions
Maintain disciplined pipeline management and opportunity qualification
Contribute to market strategy, positioning, and long-term growth initiatives
Lead and mentor sales team members, fostering high performance and accountability
Collaborate with operations, pricing, and asset teams to ensure commitments are executable and profitable
Guide continuous improvement of sales processes, reporting, and performance standards
Personally manage and grow key strategic customer relationships
Lead customer negotiations, rate discussions, and long-term agreements
Represent 8Loop with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
Maintain disciplined CRM usage and pipeline reporting
Provide leadership with clear visibility of the sales process for each customer, including performance metrics, risks, negotiation status, and growth opportunities
Ensure alignment between sales activity and operational execution
Travel is required, potentially 50% or more at times, depending on customer needs
Some periods may require less travel, but flexibility is essential
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3+ years of direct sales experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage
Demonstrated ability to sell freight and logistics solutions, not just transactional volume
Strong understanding of how sales decisions impact operations, assets, and margins
Proven leadership, mentoring, and strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management abilities
Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management
Willingness to travel and engage directly with customers and internal teams
Preferred
An established book of customer business is strongly preferred, with the ability to transition and grow those relationships
Experience with open deck / flatbed customers strongly preferred
Intermodal sales experience is a plus
Chattanooga-area candidates are strongly preferred
