Responsibilities
Day-to-day leadership of a 20-25 person operations
End-to-end production execution from order release through shipment
Roles, standards, throughput, quality, and accountability on the floor
Team structure, hierarchy, and culture
Quality control, rework reduction, and margin awareness
Hiring, onboarding, and retention of shop-floor talent
Coordination with ownership and sales leadership
Qualification
Required
Experience leading manufacturing, operations, or shop-floor teams
Comfortable leading without being the technical expert
Able to manage skilled trades and strong personalities
Calm, organized, and decisive
Proven ability to build loyal, high-performing teams
Establish and enforce clear production standards
Lead foremen and individual contributors
Drive on-time completion and reduce callbacks
Build pride of ownership—do it right the first time
Implement simple, visible performance metrics (production, quality, margin)
Maintain authority without micromanaging
Lead from the floor—present, visible, and engaged
Preferred
Military leadership background strongly preferred
Production is predictable and on schedule
Ownership and accountability are clear at every level
Callbacks and avoidable errors are materially reduced
Throughput increases without added chaos
Owner is no longer the primary problem-solver
