Responsibilities
Process routine financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in general ledger entries and reconciliations
Maintain customer and vendor records, including W-9s and account documentation
Manage vendor invoices, including processing, 3-way matching, coding expenses to proper GL accounts, and resolving discrepancies
Track approvals and support expense classification, vendor audits, and recordkeeping
Assist with incoming payments, check deposits, and related documentation
Support monthly close activities, audit readiness, and routine compliance tasks
Help maintain financial procedure documentation and contribute to workflow improvements
Manage customer billing and ensure timely, accurate invoicing
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports and internal systems
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in accounting roles with working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures, AP, AR, billing, reconciliation, and general ledger
Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting software, Excel, and G Suite (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Drive)
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage high volumes accurately
Able to identify problems and take initiative to solve them without waiting to be told
Comfortable working on-site in a fast-moving office environment in Mount Prospect, IL
