Responsibilities
Oversees Service Department and provides leadership and direction to achieve company objectives
Manage growth strategies that are in line with company goals and objectives
Participate in the preparation and administration of the annual operating budget
Promotes harmony and teamwork within and across all departments
Participate in the preparation of marketing plans to attract new and repeat business
Adheres to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations impacting operations
Oversee recruitment, hiring, termination, training, and yearly performance evaluations for all service personnel
Develop efficient service team including service advisors, shop and mobile service technicians
Ensure quality control to meet customer satisfaction and comply with OEM and industry standards
Understand and promote safety, environmental and company policies
Promote and uphold a high standard of professionalism within the workplace
Plan, monitor, and evaluate productivity and financial goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and make adjustments as necessary
Engage in company provided training and education to stay updated on operational, technical, and strategic needs for excellent customer service
Assist service advisors and parts personnel with job scheduling, preparing quotes, and handling customer interactions
Qualification
Required
A minimum of five years of relevant dealership management experience in the areas of heavy-duty truck, bus, and/or transport refrigeration service
Understanding of fundamental business systems, financial principles, and practices
Facilitate relationships with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers
Proficient with computer operation/usage
Demonstrates exceptional skills in problem-solving, administration, and management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Normal shift hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional after hours phone support as needed
