Responsibilities
Perform structural engineering calculations and detailed designs for precast systems and connections
Independently manage engineering design aspects of assigned projects
Review contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements
Resolve engineering design issues efficiently and independently
Assist other engineers in solving complex design challenges
Review and check engineering calculations and details prepared by internal teams and external consultants
Review erection drawings, shop tickets, and master shop drawings for accuracy and compliance
Evaluate design costs against project estimates and recommend corrective actions
Attend and participate in project meetings; lead coordination meetings when required
Write and review RFIs
Coordinate closely with drafting/modeling, production, and construction teams
Maintain awareness of production processes through regular plant visits
Complete repair designs and details as required
Ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering best practices
Obtain licensure in additional states as required
Review and stamp erection drawings, calculations, and repair details when assigned
Qualification
Required
3–7 years of relevant structural engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Proactive, self-motivated, and dependable
Strong communication and documentation skills
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Preferred
Precast concrete experience strongly preferred
