Responsibilities
Reconcile client payments against invoices, balances due, and system records
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, disputes, unapplied cash, and variances
Prepare and maintain accurate outstanding balance statements and supporting schedules
Analyze accounts receivable aging, collections activity, and payment behavior trends
Identify drivers of delinquency and support strategies to improve collections performance
Build and maintain Excel-based financial models, reconciliations, and analysis tools
Support budgeting, forecasting, financial close, and ad hoc financial and operational analysis
Conduct audit-style reviews to ensure data integrity and traceability
Analyze business processes and financial workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
Document processes, workflows, and controls related to billing, collections, and cash application
Support data standardization and reporting consistency across systems
Assist with KPI development, tracking, and performance reporting
Support data validation, data quality controls, and reporting accuracy
Translate business questions into structured analysis and reporting outputs
Prepare clear summaries, insights, and recommendations for leadership
Communicate clearly with internal teams and external clients as needed
Interact directly with clients to explain billing, research questions, and resolve discrepancies in a professional and confident manner
Assist with collection or clarification calls as required
Prepare concise summaries and presentations for leadership
Support cross-functional collaboration between finance, operations, and leadership
Qualification
Required
1 to 2 years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, accounting support, or a similar role
Strong financial and numerical aptitude with proven attention to detail
Working knowledge of accounts receivable, reconciliations, and basic accounting concepts
Advanced Excel proficiency required, including formulas, lookups, pivots, and modeling
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines remotely
High standards for accuracy, follow-through, and documentation
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
Experience in real estate, title, mortgage, due diligence, or professional services
Experience analyzing collections, aging reports, or cash application processes
Familiarity with analytics and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or AWS QuickSight
Familiarity with SQL, VBA, and Python is a plus
Comfort working with large datasets and financial systems
