Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment
Support and improve process control systems, automation, VFDs, and instrumentation
Design, modify, and implement automation upgrades and new control solutions
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
Read and interpret PLC programs, electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
Collaborate with maintenance leadership on spare parts and controls inventory
Ensure compliance with safety policies, GMPs, SOPs, and food safety standards
Support facility systems (HVAC, steam, chillers, utilities) as needed
Communicate equipment issues, root cause findings, and corrective actions to leadership
Qualification
Required
4–6 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment
Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting and controls programming
Strong knowledge of electrical systems
Strong knowledge of instrumentation
Strong knowledge of VFDs
Strong knowledge of pneumatic & hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and PLC logic
Associate degree in Industrial Automation, or equivalent technical/trade certification
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
Comfortable working on the plant floor and lifting up to 50 lbs
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Willingness to work varying shifts and occasional weekends as project needs require
Must reside in or near Palestine, TX (relocation not available)
