Workday Applications Development Manager (Workday ERP)
Hatch Pros is seeking a remote ERP Applications Development Manager for an eight-month contract role starting March 9, 2026. The role involves leading a team of Workday Developers in migrating data into Workday ERP and ensuring secure module implementations while maintaining service level agreements and a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities
Supports the Associate Director, Enterprise Application Services, regarding the use of the Banner ERP resources for client
Provides managerial support, coordination, staff supervision, education, training, and technical support for the central administrative applications
This individual will apply communication strategies, business analysis, relationship building, problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices in structured applications development methodology and IT project management to guide their development team on issues related to the design, development, deployment, integration, testing, quality assurance/quality control, and support of mission-critical information and software systems
This includes managing prioritized service requests, defining project plans for software installation/upgrades/migrations, and managing a structured application development methodology for corresponding applications
Analyzes, reviews and measures service level performance against service level agreements (SLAs) with the business service providers (internal and external)
Works closely with the business and service providers to negotiate and agree on service level requirements of any existing services
Works with the business and service providers to define the proper metrics and key performance indicators in evaluating service delivery quality and performance levels
Produces regular reports on service performance and achievement to stakeholders
Organizes and maintains the service level review process with the business and service providers
Initiates any actions required to maintain or improve service levels
Supports the Associate Director with implementation and management of quality improvement processes in service and application delivery management
Will plan, assign, approve work, prepares and signs performance evaluations, disciplines/rewards, responds to grievances and hires staff
Participates as a member of the Enterprise Application Services management team
Coordinates work activities of this team with other UIT teams (i.e., Workday developers and integrations teams) to prevent delays, improve service and maintain the operations of the university
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to the work assigned; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of three years' experience in administrative project planning and management; large systems design, implementation and production processing; customer problem resolution and troubleshooting; and systems design and analysis, preferably in an academic setting
Three years' experience as a supervisor, project manager, and/or lead assigning and tracking work of others
Experience working with complex ERP level systems
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to foster and promote the values of DEI and demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence in the work
Preferred
Master's degree in a field appropriate to the work assigned; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Ellucian/Banner, Workday, or similar ERP software
Experience with vendor selection, vendor negotiation/contracts, and vendor management
Experience working in Higher Education
Experience working as a supervisor within an IT environment
