Blow Mold Technician

Responsibilities

Actively communicates with co-workers - key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production, and continuous improvement
Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions
Set-up, operate and adjust molding machines for production
Preventative maintenance on all molds
Track breakdowns and repairs molds
Track process data as required on appropriate forms
Collects data from process capability and stability
Solve basic molding machine operating problems
Conduct raw material evaluations as required
Improve and maintain machine cycles to meet or exceed standards
Coordinate with quality and production for troubleshooting and resolving daily production problems
Assist in machine and mold qualification and capability studies
Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately, or if appropriate personnel need to be called
Maintains 5S environment in work area
Ability to follow verbal or written instructions
Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies
Review the manufacturing process schedule
Diagnose and troubleshoot minor problems in the manufacturing process
May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Collaborates with other members of the production team to ensure that deadlines are met, and products are delivered on time
Consistently abides by established safety rules, procedures, and regulations including wearing required safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses
Maintains a clean and organized work environment
Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to supervisor or manager
Works effectively with co-workers and supervisors, sharing knowledge, resources, and experience to achieve production goals in a timely fashion, while promoting respect, communication, and teamwork

Preferred

A high school diploma/GED, or equivalent work experience
At least one year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment
