Responsibilities
Review and provide counsel regarding restrictive covenants and employment agreements
Communicate on behalf of company regarding restrictive covenants and employment agreements
Provide legal advice and counsel to the business relating to employment issues, including hiring, termination, reductions in force, performance management, wage and hour, leaves and accommodations, and compliance with non-discrimination laws
Provide employment law support for due diligence and integration efforts relating to mergers and acquisitions
Provide employment law support for Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Global Compliance investigations
Respond on behalf of company to attorney demand letters and agency matters, including government-initiated inquiries and audits
Partner with litigation counsel in employment litigation matters
Draft separation agreements and negotiate with counsel as necessary
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Admission to a state bar in good standing in all jurisdictions where admitted
7+ years of relevant legal experience
Strong command of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
Experience handling non-compete and other restrictive covenant matters
Preferred
Prior litigation experience
Excellent written and verbal communications, client relationships, and business acumen
Strong work ethic; creative, proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, self-directed, and highly ethical
