Responsibilities
Provides treatment services for patients/residents in accordance with Center policies and Psychology Department standards
Helps patients/residents improve their psychological functioning and accomplish objectives specified in their treatment plans
Completes psychological assessments of patients/residents in accordance with Center policies and Psychology Department standards
Assists with patient/resident treatment planning, diagnosis, management and treatment
Qualification
Required
Determined by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Psychologists under the licensing requirements for Psychologists
Two years of experience rendering psychological services or engaged in psychological research after receipt of the Psychologist license
Candidates for this classification must be licensed as a Psychologist by the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists prior to permanent appointment to a position
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland
Will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland
Preferred
Experience with psychiatric patients/residents
Knowledge of personality, intelligence, interest and aptitude measurements
