Responsibilities
Program: Modernize Post-trade Settlement platform
Migrate from legacy Cobol to Strategic Polaris platform
Qualification
Required
Strong Scala, Java development Skills with add on Testing expertise on Cucumber based framework for Regression and functional testing
Expertise in writing safe concurrent code using Scala's features and libraries (e.g. Akka or ZIO)
Knowledge of JVM memory models, non-blocking data structures, and performance profiling to achieve low latency
Familiarity with integrating Scala with frameworks like Apache Spark or Flink for large-scale data processing and analysis within the settlement process
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
Extensive domain background in markets, specifically in post trade settlement and developing low latency, high throughput settlement platforms
Attention to details and extensive testing mindset in driving real-time trading, order management, market data processing, risk management, and regulatory reporting
