They are seeking an experienced level 2 automation engineer to assist in launching a new electrical steel manufacturing plant, working closely with project and operational teams to ensure successful commissioning and operation of the facility.

Responsibilities

Working initially with a project team and transitioning to a manufacturing plant operating team after commissioning the new equipment and plant
Coordinating and instructing user acceptance testing procedures with both functional analysts in the production systems team and end users of developed solutions
Conducting code review to maintain code standards within the team
Providing software configuration and customization including report setup, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third-party software integrations
Participating with other disciplines in continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring compliance with standards of safety and quality
Forming strong and effective relationships with colleagues in related functional areas

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering
3 years of experience with the following:
C#, C++, SQL
HMI Systems (WINCC/Wonderware)
Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server preferred)
Capable of analyzing technical information and quickly learning new technical skills
Intermediate to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
Familiar with programming languages
Commitment to adhere to all safety and environmental standards and guidelines

Preferred

Steel manufacturing experience is preferred with emphasis on high temperature furnaces
Experience with international quality and safety standards
