Responsibilities
Take introductory and follow-up calls with potential limited partners, primarily physicians and healthcare executives
Explain Healthcare Shares’ investment strategy, portfolio construction, healthcare theses, and value proposition to investors
Manage inbound investor interest and assist with outbound investor outreach
Support LP onboarding, follow-ups, and ongoing communications
Help prepare fundraising materials, investor updates, and responses to LP questions
Maintain and update investor CRM and fundraising pipeline
Source early-stage healthcare startups through founder outreach, inbound deal flow, physician networks, and accelerators
Track healthcare trends across digital health, value-based care, provider enablement, life sciences tools, and healthcare services
Conduct market sizing, competitive landscape analysis, and reimbursement and regulatory research
Support diligence on potential investments, including:
Business models and unit economics
Go-to-market strategy and customer acquisition
Regulatory, reimbursement, and compliance considerations
Clinical workflow and physician adoption dynamics
Build and maintain investment memos, scorecards, and internal diligence materials
Assist with term sheet review and investment committee preparation
Assist portfolio companies with investor updates and KPI tracking
Support go-to-market and growth strategy initiatives
Help facilitate introductions to providers, payers, enterprise customers, and advisors
Coordinate engagement with physician and operator advisory boards
Support LP reporting, fund communications, and quarterly updates
Assist with thought leadership, content creation, and healthcare investment theses
Help refine fundraising workflows, deal tracking systems, and CRM processes
Qualification
Required
Strong interest in fundraising and investor engagement
Experience in capital formation, limited partner relations, deal sourcing, investment diligence, and portfolio support
Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare executives
Experience in explaining investment theses and answering fund-level questions
Skills in managing inbound investor interest and assisting with outbound investor outreach
Experience in preparing fundraising materials, investor updates, and responses to LP questions
Ability to maintain and update investor CRM and fundraising pipeline
Experience in sourcing early-stage healthcare startups through various channels
Ability to track healthcare trends across digital health, value-based care, provider enablement, life sciences tools, and healthcare services
Skills in conducting market sizing, competitive landscape analysis, and reimbursement and regulatory research
