Responsibilities
Independently develop detailed civil design drawings including roadway alignments, plan and profile sheets, grading plans, drainage layouts, utility plans, and traffic control sheets
Build and manage design surfaces, corridors, alignments, and model data in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Perform volume calculations, earthwork analysis, and other design computations
Prepare complete plan sets and construction documents across multiple concurrent projects
Ensure designs comply with applicable standards including City of Houston, Harris County, Harris County Flood Control District, TxDOT, and other regional agencies as applicable
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in civil infrastructure design drafting
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)
Strong working knowledge of roadway, drainage, utility, and/or traffic design workflows
Experience preparing plan and profile sheets, grading and surfaces, and corridor modeling
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Experience working with Houston-area agencies and standards strongly preferred (City of Houston, Harris County, HCFCD, TxDOT, or similar)
