Responsibilities
Monitor security systems and analyze alerts to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities
Lead security incident investigations, response, and remediation activities
Perform security audits in cloud environments to ensure compliance and best practices
Evaluate and enhance security controls, policies, and procedures
Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and application teams on security initiatives
Support compliance requirements, audits, and regulatory frameworks
Maintain documentation for incidents, controls, and audit findings
Stay current with emerging threats, tools, and security trends
Qualification
Required
6–10 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity (candidates with 10+ years may be considered overqualified)
Strong experience conducting security audits in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Solid knowledge of threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
One or more of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
Preferred
Experience with SIEM tools, EDR/XDR platforms, and security monitoring tools
Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, or similar security frameworks
Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOX
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, onsite-focused environment
