SQL Data Engineer and BI Developer II
The University of Central Florida’s College of Graduate Studies is seeking a Data Engineer/BI Developer II to help transform complex data into actionable insights. The role involves working with enterprise-scale SQL systems and leading BI tools to support critical business decisions and develop quality efficient actionable database solutions.

Responsibilities
Highly Proficient in SQL & Query writing to design and develop quality efficient actionable database solutions ensuring data quality, security, & integrity
Designs, develops, and provides ongoing visualizations/reports using business intelligence and analytic platforms. Including but not limited to SSRS, Power BI, and other available reporting, retrieval, analytics tools
Builds and implements BI and database solutions to support data ingestion, processing, and visualization of metrics, functional, and applications data
Assists in creating new or enhanced data warehouse, database, and BI components
Researches business problems and creates data models that help analyze these business problems
Assists with maintaining user information access security within the business intelligence solution(s)
Provides technical support, mentoring, and training for users as well as ensuring proper documentation for all business processes, procedures, and practices that require the use of GRIT data. GRIT data includes Graduate Student data from PeopleSoft, Workday, Slate, and custom web applications operated by GRIT

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)
Highly Proficient in SQL & Query writing to design and develop quality efficient actionable database solutions ensuring data quality, security, & integrity
Designs, develops, and provides ongoing visualizations/reports using business intelligence and analytic platforms. Including but not limited to SSRS, Power BI, and other available reporting, retrieval, analytics tools

Preferred
Demonstrated expertise in SQL, including the ability to code, develop, and update SQL procedures and queries
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Design and development experience in Business Intelligence platforms: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and/or SSRS
Experience working with large-scale data sets and enterprise data warehouses
Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data into clear insights
Strong knowledge of data structures, relational databases, and data logic
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for business-related data
