Responsibilities
Administering quality tests on produce commodities
Documenting inspection results
Scheduling USDA inspections as required
Filing required federal, state and food safety documents
Conferring with Senior Produce Inspector, management, and/or Produce Buyer when product does not meet contracted grade
Complete residual produce product inspections as needed
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in produce inspection procedures with extensive knowledge of produce quality assessment
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, food safety, USDA inspections, PACA requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Three to five years produce inspection experience in a warehouse or retail environment
High school diploma required
