Aerospace Quality Engineer

Nesco Resource is seeking an Aerospace Quality Engineer to support product and process quality across manufacturing operations. This role involves ensuring quality control procedures meet reliability standards and comply with various requirements while collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to implement quality systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead root cause analysis activities and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve product and process performance
Lead and participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities
Support execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100
Perform internal audits and support corrective action follow-up
Review and approve changes to technical data packages, including participation in peer reviews, change control boards, and design reviews
Implement and support product quality strategies using Lean, Six Sigma, and APQP methodologies
Support, track, and monitor First Article Inspections (FAI) for both internal manufacturing and suppliers
Support supplier quality activities, including certification and monitoring of special processes
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures within the quality function
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined and consistently applied
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
0–2 years of relevant quality or manufacturing experience
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
Experience with failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
Extended periods of computer and screen use
Long periods of sitting
Occasional extended work hours as needed to support operations
