Responsibilities
Create a ‘unique Italian welcoming environment’ for customers
Support the store manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store
Ensure the team is working effectively and customers are at the heart of everything you do
Work on your feet in a fast-paced environment, handling various duties such as selling, refilling store needs, visual merchandising, cash handling, and employee coaching
Assist and support the store manager with day-to-day operational priorities and run the shop in their absence
Open and close the store using daily checklists
Cash handling and reconciling the cash register daily
Maintain a clean, safe workplace and adhere to health and safety legislation
Encourage clear and engaging communication between team members and upwards
Monitor, support, and coach the team to ensure they reach their potential
Keep the store manager informed of the team’s and team members’ individual performance
React and adapt quickly to change and make timely, thoughtful decisions
Ensure the team consistently delivers great customer service and provides the best product according to the Venchi guidelines and mission statement
Qualification
Required
Highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisors
Ability to create a ‘unique Italian welcoming environment' full of warmth and friendliness
Experience in managing day-to-day operations of a retail store
Ability to ensure team effectiveness and customer focus
Hands-on approach and willingness to chip in as necessary
Proactive towards achieving targets and planning shifts
Experience in cash handling and reconciling cash registers
Knowledge of health and safety legislation
Strong communication skills
Ability to monitor, support, and coach team members
Ability to react and adapt quickly to change
Commitment to delivering great customer service
Exceptional customer service and operational standards
Demonstrate a ‘growth mindset'
Quick learner with a positive can-do attitude
Ability to multitask and think on your feet
Comfortable working evenings and weekends
