Responsibilities
Assists with coordinating services and strategies to improve student recruitment, retention, and graduation rates
Conduct student intake, verify eligibility, and provide direct services, including preparing Individualized Educational Assessment Plans (EAPs)
Provide assistance and advise participants on social, career, financial aid, and academic matters
Design and deliver college readiness and success workshops
Coordinate and oversee academic support staff (tutors/mentors) and the six-week residential summer component
Gather data, maintain participant records, and contribute to the Annual Performance Report
Assists with planning, coordinating, and chaperoning field trips and engage in follow-up activities with participants
Assist with program publicity and communication efforts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, business, or a related field
Two years of recent, relevant work experience in program coordination, academic/financial aid advising, counseling, or instructing/mentoring students, preferably with TRIO or other college access/student success initiatives
Familiarity with college access and success efforts
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally, including possible airline travel
Remote location must be within reasonable driving distance of Weir High School
