Responsibilities
Support SRT (supplies, tooling, repairs) analysis and reordering
Individually complete analysis of SRT data and cost / area analysis
Support cost-down topics and actions
Support tooling optimizations with vendors to reduce total costs (turning, hobbing, grinding, etc.)
Qualification
Required
B.S. Engineering (or equivalent experience working in engineering role for 5+ years)
NC / CNC programming (Siemens 840D preferred)
Strong critical thinking skills
Ideal background in gear machining
Automotive machining background (steel + aluminum)
Experience working with tooling suppliers
Preferred
Background in machining, including turning, grinding, hobbing, etc
Hands-on experience with CNC machining and NC programming
Machining, tool & die, or equivalent apprenticeship / training in lieu of degree
