Responsibilities
Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Prepare financial reports in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and ensure consistency with company accounting policies
Execute and review month-end journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to support an accurate close
Analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts and provide actionable insights
Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (merchandising, operations, payroll, etc.) to calculate and document monthly accruals
Maintain and reconcile prepaid schedules, roll-forwards, and other balance sheet substantiation
Identify and implement improvements to month-end processes to reduce close time and increase accuracy
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses and provide audit support as needed
Ensure compliance with GAAP reporting requirements and assist with adoption of new accounting standards
Qualification
Required
3+ years of relevant general accounting experience
Demonstrated experience with full‑cycle month‑end close in a large ERP environment (NetSuite experience a plus)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Office tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective at cross‑functional collaboration
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required
Preferred
Experience in retail, consumer products, or e‑commerce
