Responsibilities
Developing, interpreting, and coordinating policies and employee handbooks
Assisting with benefit plan administration, including new hire onboarding, FMLA, COBRA, and HRIS tasks
Resolving HR issues with employees or through collaboration with supervisors
Preparing and delivering training sessions
Conducting pay surveys and job evaluations
Maintaining compensation programs
Supporting the entire employee life cycle by assisting with recruiting
Coaching managers on performance management and discipline
Facilitating employee grievance resolutions
Participating in disciplinary meetings and terminations
Helping maintain a positive work environment through support of industrial relations programs, including those with a unionized workforce
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or Industrial Relations is required
8+ years' experience in human resources functions in a manufacturing environment is required, preferably in a union and non-union environment
Preferred
A master's degree is preferred
