Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

This role is crucial for the preparation of external financial statements and SEC filings, while ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
Assist in the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, as well as earnings releases and footnote disclosures
Support quarter-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
Perform technical accounting research and draft accounting memos for new or complex transactions (ASC guidance)
Coordinate with internal teams (FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal) to ensure accurate financial reporting
Serve as a key liaison with external auditors, supporting audit requests and resolving issues efficiently
Maintain and improve SOX controls and documentation related to financial reporting
Assist with system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives
Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team development

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA required or actively pursuing
3–6+ years of relevant experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and/or large public company environment
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Experience with consolidations, financial statement preparation, and disclosures
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, public-company reporting environment

Preferred

Master's degree
Experience with large ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar)
Advanced proficiency in Excel
