Responsibilities
Design of Hardware for custom build automated machinery and systems
Sizing and dimensioning of Controls, Measurements and drive technologies
Creation of electric hardware diagrams and BOM’s in PDM system
Participation and support in creation of safety concepts
Calculate proper incoming and branch circuit protection
Calculate proper wire sizing, knowledge of Eplan
Creation of panel layouts and clarification of interfaces
Create electrical wiring schematics, flow diagrams, panel layouts, Bill of Materials, organize release packages, and update schematics
Clarification of technical details with customers and suppliers
Participate in internal and customer design reviews, installations, and service calls when needed
Follow all policy and procedures to maintain ISO9000 Certification requirements
If required, temporary takeover of the role as a Main Responsible for Hardware Engineering within the Project and on behalf of the Project Manager

Qualification
Required
An engineering degree, specializing in electronics, electrical or controls technology or equivalent 5 years' experience in custom design per application systems, in automation, control system design, PLC and HMI PLCs
Proficiency in Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC's, HMI's, Servo control, and Electrical design
Knowledgeable of electrical and controls engineering theories and principles
Significant electrical aptitude and knowledge of acceptable practices, techniques, safety and codes
Ideally experience with Inverter, Power electronics and EMV technologies
AutoCAD experience to modify electrical drawings and schematics
Eplan P8 or 2022 experience required
Good knowledge of ISO / OSHA / cGMP requirements and current industry practices
Ability to work independently or together in a team environment
Strong written communication abilities
Travel or extend workday when required
Preferred
Experience with advanced automation technologies
Familiarity with project management tools
