Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive Life Care Plans outlining future medical and supportive care needs
Review medical records and assess medical foundation and cost of recommended care
Apply accepted life care planning standards and cost data to project future care expenses
Prepare clear, well-supported reports for customers and stakeholders
Provide expert consultation or testimony as needed
Collaborate with internal teams and fellow life care planners
Qualification
Required
5+ years' experience in Life Care Planning
Experience in determining the cost of medical care and services based on standardized methodology
Experience in providing testimony
Knowledge in medical billing and coding
Able to determine the costs of medical services and equipment
Ability to apply a consistent methodology to formulate Needs-Driven recommendations
Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Word
Certification in Life Care Planning, CLCP or CNLCP
Basic knowledge of both the medical and legal fields as it pertains to life care planning
Qualifications of an expert testifier is one who has knowledge, skills, training, and education in Life Care Planning
