Responsibilities
Develop control structures within data sources to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels
Work with business and technical teams to gather and understand application and reporting data flow
Build and maintain content to support data quality and governance tooling across client and service data sources as well as ongoing regulatory and compliance controls while managing compliance audits and processes
Serve as a resource to the rest of the organization around SLAs and data quality thresholds in an aim to unify and educate teams across the organization about data quality standards and best practices
Contribute to the overall business risk mitigation by working with stakeholders to reduce risk and exposure in an agile, collaborative, and well socialized manner
Draft and drive the implementation of data lifecycle management procedures, policies and measurements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required in information science, data science, data management, computer science or related field preferred
5+ years in data management and data governance, including work in data analysis and data mapping (lineage). Experience with commercial tools for Data Catalog and Data Lineage is a plus
Experience developing and implementing data governance policy, procedures and standards
Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
Strong analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze the cause, quickly come-up with the possible solution(s), document the changes, and communicate the change to the organization
Preferred
Experience in the roll out of a data stewardship framework
Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python
