Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting contract reconciliations to identify potential contract de-obligation actions
Ensure compliance with financial policies
Provide historical utilization data to support planning for future requirements
Prepare financial and accounting reports for the division chief and to financial management personnel throughout the command
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in accounting; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting
At least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge
Twenty-four semester hours in accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality
A certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination
Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in accounting or auditing, e.g., 15 semester hours, but that does not fully satisfy the 24-semester-hour requirement
One year of specialized experience which includes aiding in the analysis of contract accounting data, verifying financial reports for accuracy, assisting in the implementation of financial management policies, and utilizing accounting systems
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
A Personnel Security Investigation is required
Proof of U.S. Citizenship
