Responsibilities
Manage the full product development lifecycle from design handoff to bulk production for intimates and sleepwear categories
Own development calendars and ensure all milestones (proto, fit, PP, bulk) are met on time
Partner closely with Design to translate creative vision into technically sound, production-ready garments
Review and approve tech packs, BOMs, measurements, construction details, and grading
Lead fit process, conduct fit sessions, and provide clear, actionable feedback (with strong understanding of bras, panties, shapewear, and/or sleepwear silhouettes)
Ensure consistent fit, comfort, and quality across size ranges
Proactively identify and resolve fit, construction, and quality issues
Collaborate with sourcing and production teams to select appropriate factories, fabrics, trims, and components
Communicate daily with domestic and international vendors to manage development, costing, and sampling
Negotiate development costs and support margin targets without compromising quality
Review and approve initial and revised costings
Identify cost-engineering opportunities through construction, materials, and vendor partnerships
Track changes that impact cost and communicate risks clearly
Act as a key liaison between Design, Production, Sourcing, Planning, and Quality
Provide development status updates and flag potential delays or issues early
Support production handoff to ensure smooth transition into bulk manufacturing
Qualification
Required
5–8+ years of product development experience, preferably in intimates, lingerie, shapewear, or sleepwear
Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fit, and patterning (intimates experience strongly preferred)
Experience working with overseas factories and managing multiple vendors
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage many styles simultaneously
Strong communication skills—clear, direct, and solutions-oriented
Proficiency in PLM systems and Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets)
Preferred
Experience working in a DTC and/or wholesale environment
Familiarity with sustainability initiatives or responsible sourcing
Background in fast-growing or entrepreneurial brands
