Responsibilities

Act as a point of escalation for questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
Instruct staff on how to advise management on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment
Resolve disputes and administer disciplinary procedures
Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures
Plan, direct and supervise and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations and employee relations
May represent organization in HR meetings
Aligning HR policies and programs to promote employee engagement, retention, and performance
Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc
Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to management
Support a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching and feedback
Facilitate conflict resolution, inquiries, and disciplinary actions as necessary
Work with global HR partners and process owners

Required

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required
8-10 years customer service related experience required
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time
Strong knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action)
Strong knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems
Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong knowledge of HR policies, standards and procedures (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action)

Preferred

Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); desired experience with Workday, SharePoint / OneDrive
Ability to exhibit decision making and critical thinking skills
Experience with data gathering and reporting
