Postdoctoral Researcher
The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is the U.S. Government's lead agency on aging and Alzheimer's disease research. They are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct research in immunology and molecular biology, focusing on gene regulation dynamics in immune cells.
Responsibilities
Conducting research in the field of immunology and molecular biology in gene regulation section of Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Immunology
Explore transcription factor, NF-kB target gene regulation dynamics in immune cells
Utilizing multi-omics approach to discover cellular, signal, and NF-kB family sub-unit specificity
Lead to better understanding of inflammation and differentiation processes applicable to aging research
Involve laboratory work, data analysis, presentations and publishing
Qualification
Required
Laboratory and Research Skills- Molecular Biology techniques, Immunology techniques, Biochemistry
Data Analysis Skills- Basic level of R or python is desirable or willing to develop such skills during training period
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of relevant software and tools to analyze and understand multi-omics data
