Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the design and development of residential architectural projects from concept through construction documentation
Serve as a senior technical resource for architectural standards, detailing, and code compliance
Coordinate closely with in-house land development, engineering, estimating, purchasing, and field construction teams
Review and approve construction drawings, plan sets, and specifications for accuracy, consistency, and efficiency
Establish and maintain CAD/BIM standards, libraries, and workflows; mentor team members on best practices
Ensure quality control across all architectural deliverables, including work produced by junior staff
Conduct site visits as needed to ensure design intent and construction compliance
Support product innovation, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives across the portfolio
Qualification
Required
Licensed Architect in the State of Missouri (required)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
5-10 years of professional architectural experience, with a strong focus on residential design
Extensive knowledge of residential building codes, construction methods, and production housing standards
High proficiency in AutoCAD
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
