Resident Engineer – Vehicle Electrical Systems Integration
Teoresi Inc is an international Group that acts as an engineering partner to customers' product and process development. They are seeking a Resident Engineer to serve as the key technical interface between a Tier-1 supplier and the OEM engineering team, focusing on vehicle-level electrical system integration, validation, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
Act as the single point of contact between the Tier-1 organization and the OEM engineering team
Understand customer expectations and clearly communicate technical status, risks, and progress
Support vehicle-level and system-level integration of electrical and E/E modules
Coordinate technical interfaces with: vehicle electrical architecture and wiring harnesses, loads, fuses, and relays
Interacting ECUs and diagnostic systems
Support validation activities on test benches and during in-vehicle testing
Assist in issue reproduction, data collection, and validation closure
Analyze and debug issues identified during vehicle testing and field validation
Use Vector tools (CANalyzer / CANoe) for bus analysis and signal monitoring
Work with OEM configuration, proxy, or network management tools to support configuration activities and analyze system behavior
Support flashing and configuration activities at bench or vehicle level in coordination with OEM or internal engineering teams
Collect and interpret logs to support root cause analysis
Log and track defects and observations using tools such as: JIRA, DOORS, OEM-specific issue tracking platforms
Provide clear, complete, and reproducible defect descriptions, including logs and test scenarios
Work closely with internal and offshore engineering teams to drive issue resolution
Proactively identify technical risks, integration gaps, and potential delays
Escalate critical issues early, clearly, and constructively
Provide real-time updates on urgent topics to minimize customer impact and schedule risks
Qualification
Required
Solid understanding of vehicle electrical and E/E systems
Experience with electrical or E/E modules such as: Power Distribution Units (PDU) and Body Control Modules (BCM)
Knowledge of CAN and LIN communication protocols
Hands-on experience with Vector tools (CANalyzer / CANoe)
Familiarity with automotive diagnostics concepts and protocols (UDS, DTCs)
Exposure to OEM configuration, proxy, or network management tools
Experience supporting flashing and basic configuration activities at bench or vehicle level
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronical Engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to work on-site in a customer-facing environment
Confidence interacting with OEM engineers, program teams, and stakeholders
Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly, calmly, and constructively
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and high-pressure environments
Strong organizational skills, structured follow-up, and reliability
