Fashion Public Relations Account Executive

Paul Wilmot Communications is a leading public relations agency established in 1997, specializing in fashion and lifestyle brands. They are seeking an ambitious Public Relations Account Executive to manage brand launches, product placements, and large-scale events while liaising with clients and junior staff.

Responsibilities

Lead client liaison with support from junior staff and senior support from supervisor
Maintain aggressive account activity, using current PR plan as a framework
Handle daily feature and/or product pitching for the client – including strategizing on larger scale editorial opportunities; continually update and monitor status report to ensure pitching efforts are on track
Research potential partnership opportunities / arrange meetings with strategic partners (including, but not limited to, speaking engagement opportunities, brand endorsements, event hosting, etc.)
Develop and execute PR strategies on behalf of clients and their initiatives
Uphold a strong understanding of social and digital media and its overall importance
Have an acute awareness of the influencing social media talents and tastemakers of the moment and the type of content they produce or awareness they have built
Fashion Week and FOH event production experience
Seek out and handle virtual or in-person desk side appointments (bringing assistant when applicable), collection previews, etc
A strong understanding of media reporting for a specific brand and its commercial initiatives using Meltwater, Cision, Google Reader, etc
Attend virtual or in-person divisional meetings equipped with pertinent updates, client issues, applicable news to share with the team

Required

Must have 3 years of experience
Highly developed sense of organization with attention to detail and a good team player
Be able to present proven successes with media pitches
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; able to communicate across the organization at all levels
Ability to implement strategy and has an enthusiasm to present learnings proactively
Experience with media monitoring and events platforms like Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater, Launchmetrics and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

Preferred

Knowledge of Watches and Jewelry, Accessory and Fashion Industry a plus
