Chief Financial Officer

Jilian Booth, LLC. is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and lead all finance-related functions of the company. The CFO will be responsible for financial strategy, managing financial risks, and overseeing the legal department, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and fostering a high-performing finance organization.

Responsibilities

Be a strategic partner to the CEO who will bring complimentary skills and constructive challenge
Develop and share subject matter expertise of the competitive, economic, financial, regulatory, and risk environment
Play a significant and collaborative role with the executive team to ensure resources, capital and priorities are implemented to facilitate the successful execution of the strategic plan and organizational initiatives
Lead the development and implementation of finance and legal function strategies, processes,, systems, tools, and initiatives that align with annual and long-term plans which meet/ exceed objectives
Partner with business unit and other functional leaders to formulate and implement business unit strategy
Build high-performing teams and develop high-impact talent to drive performance, continuous improvement and facilitate succession planning
Excel in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) including:
Quickly analysing results to identify issues and opportunities and recommend action plans
Hiring decisions and funding of new senior hires
Be an effective Controller responsible for:
Accounting using US GAAP and/ or IFRS standards
Quick and accurate Consolidation and Reporting of Management and Statutory Results
Business insurance policies, ensuring appropriate coverage and risk mitigation
Vendor management
With the CEO and executive team, lead inorganic Corporate Development to:
Evaluate and contribute to strategic decisions related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, geographic, capital investments, or other growth strategies. Lead investment banker relationships
Negotiate price, terms and conditions of transactions
Facilitate integration of businesses and complete post-completion analyses
Lead Treasury including:
Optimizing the Capital Structure
Debt & Equity Financing / Refinancing. Fixed/ variable interest rate management and hedging
Maximize Free Cash Flow, drive Cash Management and Foreign Exchange Hedging
Optimize Tax through:
Minimize international, federal, state and local taxes through effective planning and legal entity structuring
Assure compliance with existing regulations
Timely and accurate filing of required tax returns and related reporting
Oversee the Legal Department including:
Run the Deal Desk, managing pricing strategies and contract approvals
Monitor deal performance and provide insights to optimize profitability and close rates
Review and negotiate contracts, NDA’s, and partnership agreements
Mitigate legal risks

A strategic partner to the CEO with the ability to identify and promote profitable growth strategies, and then own the implementation
Global mindset - has previously held an executive global or multi-regional role
A demonstrated track record of PROFITABLE organic and inorganic growth (Organic growth typically is more profitable and has the highest ROIC.)
Experienced in driving growth through geographic expansion and product/ service portfolio expansion. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of marketing & innovation
A track record of leading cost optimization and continuous improvement in a professional services environment
Integrity that is beyond reproach and a demonstrated history of appropriate risk-taking, deep business acumen, thought leadership, commitment, and a strong sense of urgency
Compensation and short-term and long-term incentive plan management (KPI measurement, communication, explanation, etc)
