Responsibilities
Awareness of full software development life cycle practices and the ability to follow source code management, code quality and testing practices
Technical knowledge of GCP application development and Data Integrations
Strong analytical ability and strategic thinking
Ability to understand data components and how they are used in integration
Create and maintain source to target mapping documents supporting data integration and ETL processes
Ensure data accuracy, consistency and structural alignment to support reliable reporting
Collaborate within the team to support delivery
Ability to write moderately complex to complex SQL scripts
Work with other Data Engineers to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in an Agile Team and understanding of Agile principals
Ability to learn Agile Reporting Tools in support of monitoring daily progress towards delivery
Demonstrate self-motivation, good judgment, and active listening skills
Strong communication (oral, technical, and written) skills
Detail oriented and organized
Strong commitment and dedication to the position and a team player
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
3-5 years work experience
Strong programming experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL. BQL (Biq Query Language) is a plus
Build STTMs, composes moderate to complex SQL scripts for data analysis, and use of automation tools to streamline workflow and delivery
Contributes ideas, feedback, and contribution to overall goals and objectives of team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaboration projects
Assists team members with tasks, timelines, and deliverables by sharing information, collaborating, and ensuring effective communication

Knowledge in Medicaid business
Knowledge of data governance best practices with healthcare data
Experience with data design in BigQuery
Experience working with healthcare data (Member/Plan/Products)
