INTERDISCIPLINARY SUPV COMPUTER ENG/ELECTRONICS ENG/OPS RESEARCH ANALYST/COMPUTER SCIENTIST
USAJOBS is seeking an Interdisciplinary Supervisor for the Department of the Air Force. The primary purpose of this position is to exercise first level supervisory authorities within the 453d Electronic Warfare Squadron as the Chief Engineer across all current and future squadron electromagnetic spectrum warfare technology mission areas.

Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the 453 EWS, ensuring that Electronic Warfare analyses and/or engineering assignments complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management
Performs a broad range of Electronic Warfare analyses and/or engineering assignments entailing unique problems, creativity, innovative use of techniques, advance approaches and or new technology
Utilizes scientific inquiry in the independent development of policy, guidance, and integration initiatives to support assigned projects, studies, or problems
As a recognized expert provides technical guidance, advisory support, lead and assistance on projects and/or major phases for broad and varied operations

All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period
If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement
This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
Must be registered for Selective Service
Employee must maintain current certifications

This is an Interdisciplinary position that may be filled as a Ops Research Analyst GG-1515-14; Computer Engineer GG-0854-14; Electronics Engineer GG-0855-14; or Computer Scientist GG-1550-14
Engineer Technical Manager (ETM) and/or Program Management (PM) desired
The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
A bachelor's degree in a related professional discipline such as computer or electronics engineering, computer science, or mathematics is required
Positions are covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) and the employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position
Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position
Professional knowledge of engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Broad knowledge of agency, AF, DoD and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to assigned program(s) and/or project(s)
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships, negotiating complex issues, and resolving conflicts based on mature judgment, experience, and recognized professional standing
Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, investigate, and resolve complex issues or problems
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization and ability to modify standard practices and techniques to solve complex interrelated problems
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week
