5+ years expThe University of Missouri-Columbia's Department of Management in the Trulaske College of Business is inviting applicants for a non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor position specializing in Analytics, Operations, and Supply Chain Management. The selected candidate will teach undergraduate and master’s level courses, coordinate Teaching Assistants, and contribute to curriculum development and academic program performance.
Education
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and/or master’s level courses in Analytics, Operations, and/or Supply Chain Management each semester
Coordinate Teaching Assistants (TAs) as needed
Assume active service roles related to undergraduate and MBA curriculum development and academic program performance at department and college levels
Qualification
Required
PhD in a relevant discipline, or a Masters Degree and work experience of at least five years in the related field or function
Highest degree earned from an AACSB-accredited business school or other closely-related program (e.g., Industrial Engineering)
Prior industry and professional knowledge/experience in the areas of Analytics, Operations and/or SCM
A record or demonstrable evidence of excellence in teaching
Industry experience
Evidence of collaborative team participation
Relevant industry or professional certifications
Ability to engage students in both large and small section formats and in both face-to-face and 100% online formats
Effective use of a variety of assessment methods
Currency in analytics, operations management, and/or supply chain management
Effective training of and coordination with TAs
Familiarity with learning management systems for grade management and reporting
Collegiality in service roles involving curriculum design and delivery
