Responsibilities

Manages various feasibility/study start-up activities to include completion of questionnaires, hosting pre-study meetings, and assigning study coordinator resources
Provides guidance to research team in developing operational plans supporting selected clinical trials
Compiles patient data specified in the study protocols and provides general administrative duties in support of the research studies
Defines and manages project resource needs within specified timelines and budget
Develops, submits, tracks and reconciles project grants
Maintains research databases; prepares and submits individual study annual progress reports
Provides test result reports, tracks progress and completion of projects, and maintains necessary resources
Provides assistance in data analysis and identifies projects and components needing additional statistical support and consultation
Participates in staff recruitment and selection. Provides mentoring, training, and professional development. Implements performance management program for assigned team members
Serves as a liaison with designated service providers to ensure successful deployment of protocol requirements
Performs all other duties as assigned

Required

Working knowledge in research and clinical trial project management methodologies
Ability to prioritize multiple timelines and tasks in meeting deadlines

Excellent time management and organizational skills
Bachelor's Degree degree in related field is required

Preferred

Experience in academic medicine administration, grant administration and/or or clinical trial experience
Clinical trial or research management experience strongly preferred
Supervisory experience and a high level of initiative and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects independently are strongly preferred

Retirement - Employees are eligible for either the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) or the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP). TRS is a defined benefit retirement plan which UT Health matches employee contributions. ORP is for eligible faculty staff employees. Voluntary retirement programs are also available to invest before- or after-tax dollars with the choice of five quality retirement plan providers.
Time Off - A generous leave program offers multiple paid leave options: Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire. Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken. Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment. Holidays: 12 set paid holidays each year.
