Senior Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities
Partner with internal stakeholders to leverage supplier capabilities that best support business needs
Consolidate and cultivate a high-performing supplier base aligned with current and future commodity needs
Recommend strategic changes based on market and supplier intelligence
Lead cost‑reduction initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams
Negotiate and manage contracts/agreements for assigned commodities
Provide coaching and guidance to purchasing and commodity team members on contract management, negotiation, policies, and supplier engagement
Develop and execute risk management strategies with clear short‑ and long‑term plans
Identify alternate sources to support continuity of supply and maintain cost competitiveness
Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support enterprise success
Independently manage assigned suppliers, including performance monitoring and continuous improvement expectations
Utilize systems such as SAP, Windchill (print packages), Excel, Power BI, and quality system platforms (Epic)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of procurement and/or category management experience
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and solve problems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and cross‑cultural
Ability to develop actionable implementation plans
Working knowledge of procurement processes and category management best practices
Understanding of category‑related technologies and products
Strong negotiation abilities
Willingness to travel up to 20%, including internationally
Preferred
CPSM, CPM, or similar professional certification
MBA
Experience with electronic components, PCBA-level sourcing, and regulated industry environments
Ability to read engineering prints; familiarity with supplier print package workflows (Windchill)
Prior experience working directly with approved suppliers in performance‑managed environments
Hands-on experience with SAP, Power BI analytics, and quality system platforms (Epic)
