Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions using Snowflake and AWS technologies. Design and implement efficient database models, schemas and structures
Administer and manage the Snowflake environment, including performance tuning, cost optimization, user access control, user onboarding/offboarding, and workload management to ensure optimal performance and security
Design, build and implement modern AI solutions (both in-house and third-party), integrated with Snowflake Cortex, Amazon Bedrock and other AI/ML models
Manage and support reporting and business intelligence (BI) tools and platforms. Configure custom reports
Provide expert support to end-users on reporting tools, data accessibility, and data best practices, empowering them to extract insights and make data-driven decisions
Implement data governance, security protocols, encryption techniques, and access control policies in compliance with banking industry regulations
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including security, IT, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless data operations
Drive continuous improvement in data management processes, documentation, and data quality metrics, ensuring high data integrity and reliability
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering and software development
Proven experience working in the banking or financial services industry
6+ years hands-on experience and advanced-level expertise in Snowflake data warehousing and data platform management
4+ years hands-on experience and advanced-level expertise in AWS cloud services and data-related technologies
Proficiency in reporting and BI tools such as Sigma or Omni
Experience with programming languages like Python and SQL
Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and lead complex data projects
Preferred
Experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions, using AI services like Snowflake Cortex, AWS Bedrock and other modern GenAI models
Highly preferred but not mandatory: working knowledge of core banking systems like Jack Henry and Loan Origination Systems like eNcino
