Responsibilities
Designing and implementing statewide training initiatives for new and existing staff
Developing advanced curriculum in case management, policy interpretation, documentation accuracy, and compliance monitoring
Providing mentorship to Training Specialist II staff to ensure consistent delivery and quality of instruction
Coordinating with program directors and district management to identify and address training deficiencies revealed through audits, corrective action plans, and data analysis
Leading initiatives aimed at improving staff retention, performance consistency, and overall program outcomes
Facilitating training sessions using a variety of training software and methods, including in-person and virtual platforms
Assessing training effectiveness through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics to continuously improve programs
Developing and manage a comprehensive training calendar and schedule
Collaborating with the agency’s Human Resources department to manage certification processes, assess training resource availability, and evaluate cost-effectiveness
Travel frequently, including occasional overnight trips, to support training across various locations
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A level of knowledge necessary to support curriculum design and make recommendations for changes to training and implement changes, as approved
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with staff and supervisors/directors in a professional manner in order to provide clear delivery of instructional training
Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), as well as TEAMS, Zoom, etc
Ability to follow directions and adapt well to change
Preferred
A Bachelor's Degree and four (4) to six (6) years of relevant experience is required
Previous experience as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with demonstrated training abilities
