Responsibilities
Designing and supporting chemical process systems used in manufacturing environments
Developing process flow diagrams and detailed P&IDs that drive system design and execution
Performing core chemical engineering calculations including heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, pressure drop, and energy balances
Selecting, sizing, and specifying process equipment, utilities, and supporting systems
Creating layouts, schematics, and installation documentation to support system build and execution
Supporting procurement through technical specifications and evaluation of vendor proposals
Analyzing system performance, throughput, timing, and utility usage to optimize operation
Working closely with controls, mechanical, and project engineers throughout the project lifecycle
Supporting installation, commissioning, and startup to ensure systems perform as intended
Providing technical support for deployed systems as they evolve in production environments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
Five or more years of experience in chemical or process engineering
Strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat and mass transfer
Comfort working in manufacturing or process-driven environments
Ability to communicate clearly with engineering peers, project teams, and customers
Preferred
Experience in food, beverage, or similar process industries is helpful but not limiting
