Associate Planner

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Planner to support our client’s production needs. The Associate Planner will coordinate the flow of work and materials within and between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules, ensuring that production requirements are met to satisfy customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectations
Analyze and prepare documents needed for production
Perform data analysis and drive decisions to improve customer on time delivery
Create production schedule and prioritize work orders for production optimization
Maintain weekly production capacity plan and other reports as required
Follow-up with cross-functional teams to expedite material flow to meet production schedule and customer expectations
Complete status reports for production progress, WIP and raw material inventory
Interact daily with Production, Shipping, Customer Service and Accounting to resolve issues regarding inefficiencies
Identify continuous improvement opportunities within Supply Chain or cross functional areas
Develop and implement Planning work instructions and procedures
Other duties and responsibilities as needed or required

Required

Good organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and be able to present information in a clear and concise manner
Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment
Basic understanding of Kanban replenishment systems
Highly motivated and proven self-starter to take on daily deliverables
Demonstrated dedication to quality and eliminating waste
Ability to work within a complex environment with cross-functional teams
Ability to provide direction and training to peers
Must be resourceful, independent, team player, detail oriented and well organized
Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Minimum 1 year working in a materials and production scheduling
Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes
Experience with visual management systems
Considerable knowledge of industry related supply base
Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics Management or Engineering
