Intern-Product Development, In Vitro

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize one to two novel *in vitro* assays to support the advancement of our early-stage therapeutic program
Learn and apply tissue culture techniques, LNP formulation and characterization methods, and NGS workflows under the guidance of experienced team members
Execute routine NGS workflows and *in vitro* assays with increasing independence
Maintain comprehensive electronic lab notebook documentation of all experiments and periodically review progress with team members
Participate actively in weekly team huddle meetings and scientific team meetings
Provide regular progress updates to the team lead and scientific core team
Present your work and findings to the Product Development department and early product team

Required

Currently pursuing a Master's degree or higher in Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or Virology
Proficiency in standard tissue culture, PCR, and western blot techniques
Conceptual familiarity with NGS, gene editing, and lipid nanoparticles
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated accountability and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Flexibility and willingness to support diverse responsibilities within the team
Availability to work full-time on-site during the summer months (May–August) at an AskBio office

Preferred

PhD students in Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or Virology are encouraged to apply
Proactive, solution-driven mindset with a strong scientific curiosity
Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the team
Prior hands-on experience with gene editing technologies or therapeutic development
