LOGISTICS/FLEET MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Responsibilities

Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
Coordinate fleet availability
Schedule maintenance
Produce mechanics' schedule
Develop and upgrade fleet information system
Obtain permits and licenses; maintain records of permits and licenses
Maintain inventory of repair parts and equipment; requisition replacement stock
Purchase parts for maintenance department
Prepare fuel inventory and reports
Prepare repair reports and vehicle requests
Review life cycle costing reports
Maintain and evaluate tires
Recommend capital purchase of new equipment
Select vendors
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
Travel to offsite locations to support business needs
Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Required

High School Diploma or GED
5+ years experience in diesel mechanics/technology, and two years management experience; or combination of relevant education and experience
Ability to operate all tools and equipment associated with a diesel engine shop, trucks, tractors, trailers
Valid commercial driver's license
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Maintain confidentiality
Accuracy/attention to detail
Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
Familiarity with truck maintenance terms and processes
Ability to continue education

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree
Non Degree Program
Any experience directing/participating on project
Proficient in Microsoft Office
